About K-Dogg
Some people can speak many different languages, but not everyone has learned how to speak dog. I have.
My whole life, starting at a very young age, I was obsessed and fascinated with dogs. I read everything I could, watched everything I could, and spent as much time around dogs as I could. I didn't have a dog, so I volunteered at veterinary clinics, walked neighborhood dogs, did anything I could to be around them. As an adult I worked at feed stores, animal shelters and rescues, and have had several amazing dogs of my own. This experience has turned into my life greatest passion, and the work I've chosen..to help others speak the language of dog.
I'm fascinated by the dog/human relationship. How beautiful it is to see working dogs, AKC show dogs, K-9 units, military dogs, service dogs, last but most common, pets, and the relationship they share with their humans.
My life's goal is to help humans and their dogs reach maximum symbiotic potential, to see fewer dogs returned to animal shelters, and to see happy, fulfilling and "fur-ever" dog ownership.
Training Style
I believe in what works for you and your dog. I believe training never stops, and its pliable. It changes over time, and when something doesn't work, it's important to find others tools. Tools have a wide range depending on your dogs response, but are only as effective as your communication using those tools.
